WilsonMiller and Syncline Announce LandExplorer On-line Site Analysis tool for Professionals -- analysis made easy with interactive map-based tool

Naples, Fla and Boston -- WilsonMiller, Inc., a Florida-based planning, design and engineering firm, and Syncline, Inc., a Boston-based e-government solutions provider today announced the release of LandExplorer(tm), a Web-based land evaluation tool for real estate, land development, and lending professionals that allows lenders, underwriters, developers, appraisers, and insurers to search a vast database of property information with simple map-based tools. The initial roll-out involves general data for all of Florida, and parcel level data and ownership attributes for Hillsborough, Manatee and Pasco counties. The application is scalable and can be tailored to cover other regions to meet market demands.
In the past, specific analytic and search criteria could require several weeks of data retrieval and study. Today, a commercial real estate agent can use LandExplorer(tm) to help a corporation locate a site suitable for a distribution center in just minutes. For example, the requirements may call for a parcel with industrial zoning that is 7 to 10 acres, is within 2 miles of a major highway, and is located in a specific zip code. Additionally, the corporation may be looking for a parcel that is vacant because they want to build a new facility. LandExplorer(tm) automatically returns a list of properties that meet the unique criteria, dynamically performing the analysis against environmental, demographic, and regulatory factors.
The resulting properties are highlighted on an interactive digital map that offers the ability to perform deeper analysis including searches on surrounding endangered species habitats, parcel wetland percentage calculations, and demographic report generation. Furthermore, the parcel is highlighted over an aerial image of the surrounding area, which provides additional information about the parcel.
