GAINESVILLE, Fla. (Dec. 5, 2002) - 352 Media Group, an interactive media and marketing firm, has developed an intranet for the 3,800 employees of Exhibitgroup/Giltspur, the world's largest designer and producer of exhibits.
Exhibitgroup/Giltspur is a division of Viad (NYSE: VVI), a Fortune 1000 company. Exhibitgroup/Giltspur provides complete exhibit design, fabrication and integrated marketing services for major companies around the world.
The intranet system allows Exhibitgroup/Giltspur's large team of specialized designers to share resources and work more effectively as a team.
352 Media Group created a "resource zone," which is a searchable database of design-related Web sites and resources in the intranet, and a chat room where designers can ask questions and share ideas within the Exhibitgroup/Giltspur Design Network.
The intranet includes a searchable database of all designer profiles. Karen Turley, director of strategy for Exhibitgroup/Giltspur, says these profiles will improve recognition of each designer by his or her skill set.
"The designer profiles will drastically reduce the amount of time design directors spend searching for specific talent within the large Exhibitgroup/Giltspur design community," Turley said.
Exhibitgroup/Giltspur has served well-known clients nationwide, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Verizon, Xerox and many others. Its network of offices covers the United States, Canada and Europe with additional partners in 47 countries worldwide.
352 Media Group has begun developing an extranet for the company that will assist in the order processing system. Plans are also underway for 352 Media Group to redesign Exhibitgroup/Giltspur's existing Web site, www.e-g.com, early next year.
