ORLANDO, Fla., August 2, 2002 – Deloitte & Touche LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional services firms, today announced the 2002 Florida High Tech Corridor Technology Fast 50 winners. The Technology Fast 50 program honors the fastest growing technology companies headquartered in Florida’s high tech corridor. Rankings are based on revenue growth over a five-year period.

Technology Fast 50 Criteria To qualify for the Florida High Tech Corridor Technology Fast 50, companies must meet the following criteria: § Be a technology company, specifically defined as a company that owns proprietary technology, which contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues or devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology. § Be in business a minimum of five years with 1997 revenues of at least $50,000 and 2001 revenues of at least $1,000,000. § Be a public or private company headquartered in the following 21 counties: Brevard, Citrus, Desoto, Flagler, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lake, Levy, Manatee, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia. Subsidiaries and divisions are not eligible unless they have some public ownership and are separately traded.
Rising Star Category Deloitte & Touche also recognizes up to five “Rising Star” companies. Rising Star nominees must follow the same Florida High Tech Corridor Technology Fast 50 criteria, but are selected based on revenue growth from 1999 to 2001. Companies must be in business for either three or four years.
