Leading Online Diet and Fitness Network and “Father of Aerobics” Sign Cross Marketing Agreement
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. and DALLAS, Tex. – July 9, 2002- eDiets.com, Inc. (OTCBB:EDET) (“eDiets”), the leader in personalized online diet and fitness programs, and Cooper Concepts, Inc. (“Cooper Concepts”), a division of the Cooper Aerobics Center founded and managed by Dr. Kenneth Cooper, M.D., M.P.H., one of the world’s foremost experts on health, nutrition and fitness, today announced that they have entered into a one-year cross marketing and content sharing agreement.
Under the terms of the agreement, eDiets will promote its personalized online diet and fitness programs throughout the Cooper Concepts Web site located at www.cooperwellness.com, and also through a series of one-minute promotions to air weekly on Cooper Concepts’ nationally syndicated radio program “Healthy Living with Dr. Ken Cooper”, which offers listeners practical, research-based health and fitness information. eDiets will pay Cooper Concepts a fee for every new member who subscribes to its personalized programs as a result of this exposure.
Also under the agreement, Cooper Concepts will promote its line of Cooper CompleteÒ nutritional supplements to eDiets’ community of approximately 10 million members through a combination of online advertising and editorial coverage throughout the eDiets network, with initial and residual product sales revenues earned through these promotions being shared by both parties. In addition, health and fitness content from Cooper Concepts will be integrated into select areas of the eDiets network, and each month throughout the contract term a Cooper Concepts fitness expert will host a live online chat session with eDiets members.
