Top Biopharmaceutical Executive Joins Enterprise Development Corporation Board of Directors
Boca Raton, FL – July 9, 2002 - The Enterprise Development Corporation (EDC), a public/private partnership specializing in providing strategic business development services to emerging science and technology companies, announced today that Thomas H. McLain, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Nabi Biopharmaceuticals has joined its Board of Directors. “Nabi Biopharmaceuticals develops products that power the human immune system to help people with serious, unmet medical needs. Prior to joining the company, Mr. McLain held senior management positions at Bausch & Lomb where he worked from 1988 – 1998. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and was Audit Manager at Ernst & Whinney from 1984 – 1998.
Mr. McLain’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Financial Executives Institute South Florida Chapter, National Investor Relations Institute South Florida Chapter, Business Development Board Palm Beach County, and the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce Trustees. Most recently, he received the Professional and Business Forum’s 2002 Businessperson of the Year award. Mr. McLain received a BA in Economics from the College of Holy Cross, and an MBA in Finance and Computer Information Systems from the University of Rochester, William E. Simon Graduate School of Business.
