New Internet Solution Enables Pastors to Extend their Reach
– First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg chooses DataGlyphics for Extranet development –

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – DataGlyphics Inc. today announced that First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg (FBC) selected DataGlyphics to develop a new extranet solution that will help FBC’s pastors identify and communicate with visitors to the church.

Bill Stover, CEO of DataGlyphics, said, “First Baptist Church needed a very straightforward solution to a very business-like issue. In essence, they wanted to be able to use the Web to expand their organization effectively, and we were pleased that they considered DataGlyphics and chose us as their partner on the Web.”

The new extranet will provide FBC with a streamlined data entry, routing, response and reminder system for their Connect Card and Response Card programs, which are used to receive visitor information and facilitate follow-ups.

“Our visitors often fill out cards letting us know about themselves,” commented Ed Bailey, communications director for FBC. “Until now, the process of following up has been paper-based – and it was tedious, since tracking involved shuffling paper around. We felt that a Web-based extranet would be the most efficient way to make certain we don’t lose touch with them. Several factors contributed to our selecting DataGlyphics, including their portfolio, professionalism and reputation. We approached them with an objective, and they were quick to provide an effective solution. This extranet will provide administrative support for a critical aspect of our church’s mission.”
