CFIC Recruits Emerging Growth Technology Companies to Present at Innovation Florida 2002

The Central Florida Innovation Corporation (CFIC) presents Innovation Florida 2002 – Early Stage Capital Raising Conference, sponsored by Akerman Senterfitt, Business Wire, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Sustaining sponsors include Ernst & Young LLP and the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator.
The Venture Capital Conference will showcase 16-20 promising high-growth technology companies throughout the state of Florida seeking “first outside money,” to an audience of venture capitalists, investment bankers and individual investors.
Innovation Florida 2002 is an annual regional early stage capital conference that connects Florida’s hottest private technology companies with leading investors, venture capitalists and financiers for an exclusive financial and business development event. Over the past six years, former presenters of the conference have been successful in raising over $130 million.
Six regional partners have been identified to assist CFIC with recruitment and selection of presenting companies. (see below for contact info.)
The conference is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at the Wyndham Palace Resort & Spa in the Walt Disney World Resort, located at 1900 Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL, 32830-2206
Register on or before August 1st and receive a $50 discount! Early Registration: $235 per person; After August 1, 2002: $285 per person
CFIC is looking for startups and existing companies who are seeking “first outside” or first round equity financing. Candidate companies must be technology-based, headquartered in Florida, be capable of achieving $25 million in revenue after five years of growth and the company must have a minimum of $250,000 in prior investment or cash flow.
