Verizon Makes Contribution to Computer Mentors toward "Bridging The Digital Divide"

Verizon became the first “Corporate Sponsor Of The Month” for Computer Mentors, a non-profit corporation serving the inner-city of Tampa. Computer Mentors provides free computer training and computers to inner-city youth.

Last year Computer Mentors was able to provide almost 80 computers into inner-city homes in an effort to “Bridge The Digital Divide”. Computer Mentors is seeking to have 12 corporations sponsor their program which includes summer internship positions (with wages being fully tax deductible) for its graduates. Computer Mentors is proud to boast that all of its graduates that remained in the program and graduated High School have also gone off to college.
