TELECOMPUTING NAMES ALEX HAWKINSON COO

Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. – FEBRUARY 26, 2002 – TeleComputing, a leading provider of hosted business messaging, collaboration and communications solutions for service providers, today announced that Alex Hawkinson has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, from Senior Vice President and General Manager.

Hawkinson will oversee the Company's sales, marketing, operations, business development, and customer care functions worldwide. He reports to TeleComputing’s CEO and President Jason Donahue.

“Alex has played a key role in building TeleComputing’s service provider business over the last year, and we credit much of our success to his excellent leadership, vision and focused efforts,” said Donahue. “With his proven leadership experience in the telecommunications and hosting industries, Alex is helping make TeleComputing the hosted application solution of choice for service providers.”

Last year, TeleComputing launched its private label hosted application business focusing on solutions for service providers, enabling them to provide hosted solutions to their customers. In addition to launching the service provider business, Hawkinson restructured the United States-based ASP organization, streamlined operations and reduced costs.

Hawkinson has been instrumental in developing the strategy of TeleComputing and in building relationships with the company’s major customers. He also helped solidify the Company’s strategic partnership with Microsoft and its achievement of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status for Hosting and Application Services.
