IBM Names Compuquip Technologies First BladeCenter and Storage Solution Center Facility in South Florida

MIAMI, April 23, 2008 – Compuquip Technologies Inc., one of the largest IT providers in South Florida, today announced it has opened an IBM BladeCenter and Storage Solution (BSSC) “Center for Excellence” at the company’s offices in Miami. The center is the first in South Florida and 11th in the country.

IBM’s BSSC server-hosted desktop solution helps small and mid-size businesses better manage storage needs for the increasing tide of feature-rich e-mail, greater file-print requirements and implementation of new applications. The BladeCenter integrates servers, storage, networking and applications into one system, thereby consolidating space and system administration while saving power consumption, cooling and IT costs.

Compuquip will host a grand opening for its BladeCenter and Storage Solution Center at 5 p.m. EST today at its Doral, Fla. headquarters. Karstin Bodell, IBM’s vice president of Channel Marketing, will join Compuquip executives to welcome clients and local business leaders representing the healthcare, finance and legal industries.
