ISR Global Telecom Announces Availability of Tempest Release 2.0

MAITLAND, FLORIDA – (December 4) ISR Global Telecom, Inc., a leader in standards based network management solutions, today announced Release 2.0 of Tempest, the next generation network management system for equipment manufacturers, systems providers and service providers. Tempest is CORBA based utilizing Java and XML. Its highly distributable architecture and design provides true n-tier scalability and carrier class performance while also providing complete flexibility, extensibility, and an industry best development framework.

Tempest Release 2.0
Release 2.0 delivers enhancements for many of Tempest’s core functional areas, including Policy Management, Event Mapping, Alarm Monitoring and Charting, and Role Administration. It also introduces new capabilities including Configuration Management, Inventory Administration, and Performance Monitoring.

- Tempest executes scripts automatically based on time parameters or events allowing for automation of policy based business rules that provide benefits for trouble shooting and SLA compliance..

- Tempest configures equipment en masse via configuration scripts and template editors allowing for time savings and accuracy in activating new equipment.

- Tempest configures equipment automatically when auto-discovery recognizes un-configured equipment and launches configuration scripts allowing for assimilation of all equipment in the network.

- Tempest provides inventory management of physical locations, logical domains, and all data for elements and agents allowing for ease, flexibility and control for managing the network.

- Tempest provides partitioned and secure network views allowing for managing portions of networks, domains, and other discrete network entities.

- Tempest provides performance scanning and charting capabilities allowing for automation in trouble shooting and SLA compliance.
