FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Dec. 4, 2001 – Dialtone Internet Inc., a leading provider of dedicated and co-location Web-hosting services, today announced it is opening a data center in the United Kingdom.

The new data center, which will open in late December in West London, will give Dialtone Internet the ability to expand its European customer base, which currently consists of 330 customers from 23 different countries. The first deployment of web servers will be based on the IBM xSeries server line.

“The opening of the London data center will represent a major milestone for Dialtone Internet,” said Alvaro Albarracin, the company’s chief executive officer. “It will provide us with the necessary infrastructure to service our growing international client base. As the global Internet and e-commerce markets continue to mature, our U.K. data center will help ensure that we are able to keep pace with the demand for our hosting services.”

Dialtone Internet recently completed a major expansion of its data center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to accommodate its growth in the United States and Latin America.
