Magnetic Recognized as One of Tampa Bay Region’s “Best Places to Work”

TAMPA, Fla. – (March 14, 2008) – Magnetic, a full-service Web development firm, has been recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as one of the region’s “Best Places to Work” for the third consecutive year.

Magnetic was among just 21 companies awarded the “Best Places to Work” designation in the “Nearly Big” category for organizations with 10-25 employees. In all, 58 companies were recognized in four categories: Nearly Big; Big (26-50 employees); Bigger (51-100 employees); and Biggest (101+ employees).

“Over the years, Magnetic has been fortunate to have our accomplishments recognized by a number of business and industry associations. However, to be recognized as one of the region’s best places to work is always the most meaningful,” said Magnetic CEO Ken Bakunas. “Our success would not be possible without the outstanding contributions of our entire team, and it is gratifying to know that our efforts to provide a positive work environment are not only successful but also appreciated.”

Nominations for “Best Places to Work” were accepted through the Tampa Bay Business Journal Web site, qualified and then sent to an outside research firm, which administered anonymous employee surveys. Winning organizations received the highest rankings based on a statistical analysis of employee responses under such topics as people practices, team effectiveness, retention risk and trust with coworkers and senior leaders.

In the 2006 and 2007 “Best Places to Work” competitions, Magnetic won the top seat in its category and also attained the highest overall score among companies recognized in all four categories.

The final rankings in each category will be announced during a celebration luncheon on April 17, 2008.
