Retrieval Dynamics Provides Mobile Access To MLS Listings

SARASOTA, FL, November 26, 2001 – Retrieval Dynamics Corp., a leader in wireless Internet services for the mobile workforce, today announced DocLYNX Lite, designed to make it possible for real estate professionals to access MLS (multi-listing service) information while working in the field.

Initially released in Florida’s Sarasota-Manatee County MLS area, DocLYNX Lite lets agents access their MLS data from any e-mail enabled device. Real estate professionals, who register at the DocLYNX site (WWW.DOCLYNX.COM), can use credit card or direct billing payment. Retrieval Dynamics intends to expand the service offering in other MLS markets working with wireless communications vendors and the MLS.

DocLYNX Lite is designed to speed up sales cycles and increase productivity by providing agents, brokers and appraisers with real time mobile real estate information when they need it and where they need it: in the field for prospecting, listing and selling properties. An added benefit is that the requested data is immediately and automatically sent to the agent’s computer database, back at the office, so reentry of the requested information is unnecessary.

With DocLYNX Lite, any mobile device capable of e-mail can receive valuable real-time MLS information and search multiple MLS databases at the same time. The application was written with real estate agents’ input, utilizing familiar MLS abbreviations. It was designed to optimize the data for small screens, organized in such a way that the user can drill-down to access the requested property information. DocLYNX Lite is an extremely easy to use and powerful application that provides simple, secure and customizable searches of the MLS on two-way pagers, cell phones, or wireless PDAs—any wireless device that is capable of sending and receiving e-mail.

“If you know how to send e-mail, you can utilize DocLYNX Lite. Unlike similar services, DocLYNX Lite is not dependent on the downloading of information, software installation or specific hardware purchases,” said John Harkola, CEO, Retrieval Dynamics Corporation. “All accessed information from the MLS is in real-time, ensuring the most up-to-date listing information. The range of information available is matched one-on-one with categories within the MLS data. It works on all e-mail enabled devices, even the smallest of phones.”

To begin use of DocLYNX Lite, a licensed agent, broker or appraiser must first register on the WWW.DOCLYNX.COM website. After registering, real estate professionals can begin to use the service out in the field with their handheld device.

The DocLYNX Lite service is scheduled for other market applications in 2002.
