For Immediate Release:

Document Consulting Services Launches Enterprise Distributive Print Solution

LAKE WORTH, FL – November 27, 2002 – Document Consulting Service, LLC, Florida distributor and reseller for all Print Audit products is has just been granted exclusive licensing rights to use Print Audit 4.15 to perform distributive print studies throughout an enterprise.

”It’s amazing that end users have no idea the amount of printing they are doing on their desktop printers”, when they have lower cost alternatives to choose from, said John Isaac, President and Co-Founder at a recent clients site. Not only do they not know their volumes (remember printers don’t have meters like copiers do – ironic), they have no idea of the cost associated with printing to cartridge-based products, so in essence; “they don’t know what they don’t know”.

What the print study will allow organizations to understand is who is printing what documents to what printers and in how many quantities. A total of 14 fields of data is collected for each print job that is sent to a network or local printer. Once the data is compiled it is then up to the organization to develop a document output strategy that will improve processes and drive out costs.

It’s the razor and razor blade strategy all over again but now in the desktop printing environment. It’s the goal of the manufacturers to get as many printers as they can connected in order to have the user become required to use toners and inks when they run out. This makes for a strong and re-occurring annuity stream. Isaac then added that the cost of the print study is usually equivalent to the cost associated with one months worth of toner. Buyers Laboratory called this the “last great un-audited” expense in corporate America.

He closed with the following challenges to all CIO’s and CFO’s in an organization – “If you can tell me where all your output devices (print, copy and fax) are and their associated costs, broken down per impression, then you don’t need us.” “If you can’t and most can’t, it might be worth your while to engage in a conversation with us.”
