Florida Trend’s NEXT and DataGlyphics Redesign Magazine Web Site – DataGlyphics adds enhanced functionality, usability to new FloridaNEXT.com –
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – DataGlyphics Inc. and Florida Trend's NEXT magazine today announced the complete redesign, redevelopment and relaunch of the Florida Trend's NEXT Web site – www.FloridaNEXT.com. The new site reflects the current image of the Florida Trend's NEXT print publication and offers enhanced usability and functionality.
"We wanted to refresh FloridaNEXT.com to make the site even more helpful and entertaining for our young, tech-savvy audience. DataGlyphics developed our initial site, and we are glad to have them as our Web resource on this project," said Lynda Keever, publisher of Florida Trend's NEXT. "Along with a new look, we added new sections and categories to FloridaNEXT.com to encourage interaction with our student visitors."
New and updated sections and features include En Español, Teacher's Lounge, Speak Out and Teen Trendsetters™. The En Español icon is clearly marked on the homepage and all articles that are available in Spanish. The translations were provided through a grant from the Verizon Foundation. Teacher's Lounge is a section exclusively for teachers and counselors and provides access to classroom resources, activities and newsletters. Speak Out allows students to post responses to a variety of topics and read responses of their peers. Teen Trendsetters will be evolving into an online reading community for teens.
William Stover, CEO of DataGlyphics, said, "We've had a long relationship with Florida Trend's NEXT and Trend Magazines Inc. – which gave us a good understanding of their needs for the relaunch. For FloridaNEXT.com, we created a dynamic site that organizes information in an easy-to-access manor, while keeping site content management simple. Through a secure administrative backend, FloridaNEXT.com personnel can logon and add updated content with no HTML or programming experience needed."
