Microsoft to Attend Gulf Coast Technology Summit and Expo
Microsoft Presents .NET Applications for Business

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Pensacola Civic Center will be home to technology professionals from around the Southeast as they gather for the second annual Gulf Coast Technology Summit and Exposition, Sept. 25-27.

The Summit has been attracting several national competitors, including Novell Corporation’s Sr. Vice President and CTO, Alan Nugent, who will be giving the keynote address at the VIP Reception. The latest addition to the Summit is Microsoft’s own Joe Healy, a Development Technology Specialist for Microsoft Gulf States Region.

Healy will be presenting three informative seminars on .NET applications and how they relate to businesses. The first seminar, “Zero to .NET”, teaches IT professionals to go from nothing to .NET by building the full range of available .NET application types, many of which help with robust and scalable enterprise solutions. The other presentations teach tips and tricks for ADO.NET and ASP.NET, optimizing user techniques and performance.

“We’re thrilled that Mr. Healy has come on board with us,” said Summit producer George Scarborough. “Microsoft’s participation in our event enforces the fact that the Summit is growing and reaching a wide variety of IT professionals. This certainly will add to the success of the Summit.”

As a Development Technology Specialist, Healy is responsible for bringing Visual Studio.NET and the .NET Frameworks to businesses and professionals everywhere.
