PCT Adds DES Line to Its Production Capabilities
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL-- AUGUST 21, 2002-- In meeting the ever-growing design demand for narrower lines and spaces on thin-core inner layer substrate materials, Pronto Circuit Technologies (PCT) has added a Develop-Etch-Strip (DES) to its new state-of-the-art printed circuit board facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The new line gives the manufacturer the ability to accommodate materials as thin as .002 inches and capable of etching copper as heavy as 6 ounces. Earlier this year PCT announced the completion of its new state-of-the-art thin-core, inner layer processing facility, located at 1165 NW 55th Street in Fort Lauderdale. With more than 10 years experience in thin core layers, the upgrade in facilities and equipment has allowed PCT to facilitate finer lines and higher layer counts.
In addition to the DES line, the new facility utilizes new equipment dedicated to the processing of inner layers, including a Class 10,000 clean room, X-ray Drill, Conveyorized "MultiBond" line, and a Computer-controlled lamination press. Added capabilities include improved quality, higher throughput, increased layer counts, .004" lines and spaces, and a finished hole size of .008".
"Our immediate efficiencies and advantages are evident in PCB designs requiring 6 to greater than 20 layers," said PCT President Bob Versiackas. PCT, a manufacturer of quick-turn multilayer printed circuit boards has approximately 100 employees and is in the middle of a calculated growth strategy to reach $30-plus million in revenue. PCT’s strengths include providing an exceptional level of service and technology in the quick-turn/medium-volume commercial and military markets.
