ScriptRx and X-Press Charts will deliver electronic charting templates to hospital physicians through ScriptRx’s fully integrated healthcare management system to increase patient safety and improve hospital efficiencies.

West Palm Beach, FL (July 15, 2002) ScriptRx, Inc., a national provider of interactive healthcare systems to emergency departments, recently partnered with electronic charting industry leader X-Press Charts (QA Real time Systems, LLC). The partnership will enable ScriptRx to deliver superior patient documentation capabilities through its touch screen based healthcare documentation system to increase patient safety, significantly reduce charting time and substantially increase hospital reimbursement.

Through the electronic charting application, the ScriptRx system will generate charting templates, customized by the chief patient complaint, to be filled out by the attending physician at the patient bedside. The application also allows physicians to input data via the touch screen after the patient visit and print out a completed chart.

“X-Press Charts electronic charting application is an important addition to the ScriptRx healthcare management system,” said Doug Wheeler, president and CEO of ScriptRx. “Based on our review, X-Press Charts has demonstrated superior capabilities over other template charting systems.”

Under the terms of the agreement, ScriptRx will act as a premier channel partner in licensing X-Press Charts patient charting templates to hospitals nationwide. “With ScriptRx’s accelerated distribution model, our partnership will serve to dramatically expand our template based charting system,” said Martin Gottlieb, CFO of X-Press Charts.

The complete ScriptRx system incorporates a touch screen computer with a biometric fingerprint scanner for security and a high-speed laser printer. The system’s easy to use applications include the patient charting as well CPOE, prescription writing, discharge instructions and access to both on and offline reference materials. The ScriptRx system is designed to dramatically reduce life-threatening mistakes due to illegible physician orders and prescription and discharge instruction errors.

ScriptRx Systems have been deployed in over 120 hospitals in cities nationwide including New Orleans, Boston, New York, Dallas, Las Vegas, Cleveland, Nashville, Miami and West Palm Beach. Hospital’s can apply for ScriptRx Systems by visiting www.scriptrx.com.
